Inter Miami secured a 2-1 victory against Nashville SC in a thrilling MLS match at Chase Stadium on July 12, 2025. This win marked Inter Miami's fifth consecutive victory and extended their unbeaten run to six games in the 2025 MLS regular season.

Lionel Messi was the star of the show, scoring both goals for Inter Miami. His first goal came from a stunning free kick in the 17th minute, which he masterfully placed in the bottom right corner of the net. This was his 15th goal of the season. Messi's second goal came in the 62nd minute, intercepting a pass and finding the back of the net again to restore Inter Miami's lead. With this performance, Messi tied Josef Martínez's record for the most goals in a six-game span in MLS history, with 11 goals.

Nashville SC equalized in the 49th minute with a goal from Hany Mukhtar. Despite their efforts, they were unable to overcome Inter Miami, who secured the 2-1 victory. Inter Miami had an early opportunity to score in the 8th minute with shots from Tadeo Allende and Luis Suárez, but Nashville's goalkeeper saved Allende's shot, and Suárez's effort went just above the crossbar.

The match was dynamic, with Inter Miami controlling much of the possession. Inter Miami had 57.4% of the possession, while Nashville had 42.6%. Inter Miami also had more shots, but both teams had a similar number of shots on goal. Inter Miami's passing accuracy was also higher, at 89.9% compared to Nashville's 82.1%.

The game saw a few yellow cards, with Marcelo Weigandt of Inter Miami and Jack Maher of Nashville SC being booked. There were also substitutions made by both teams as they looked to influence the game.

Overall, it was an exciting match with moments of brilliance from Lionel Messi, who continues to impress in the MLS. Inter Miami's victory further solidifies their position in the Eastern Conference.
