Donald Trump has reportedly kept the FIFA Club World Cup trophy, resulting in the champion team, Chelsea, lifting a replica. The incident occurred after Chelsea's victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the tournament held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Eyewitnesses reported that Trump joined the players during the trophy presentation, which caused confusion among the team members. It was later revealed that the trophy Chelsea's captain, Reece James, held was a replica. The original trophy, a 24-carat gold-plated prize crafted in collaboration with Tiffany & Co and estimated to cost around $230,000, is now reportedly being used as an ornament in the Oval Office.

Trump's involvement didn't stop there. Despite being met with a mix of boos and cheers upon his arrival, he remained on stage during the trophy ceremony. Chelsea's captain, Reece James, appeared to ask Trump if he was going to leave the stage, but Trump remained, applauding. Cole Palmer, a star player for Chelsea, admitted to being confused by Trump's presence on the stand during the trophy lift. James also stated that Trump congratulated the team for winning and told them to enjoy the moment.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented Trump with the Club World Cup trophy in a White House ceremony, where Trump declared it would remain. The decision has sparked controversy, especially considering the trophy is meant for the winning team.
