She wasted no time, drilling a 25-footer roughly two minutes into the game to tie the record. With 3:31 remaining in the first quarter, she hit a stepback from the top of the key to surpass the Fever legend, securing her place as the franchise's all-time leader with 607 made three-pointers. The team acknowledged Mitchell's accomplishment on social media, with a post that read, "FRANCHISE RECORD. Kelsey Mitchell has passed Tamika Catchings for the most three-pointers made in franchise history". Catchings also offered her congratulations to Mitchell, stating, "Records are meant to be broken, but if there's anybody that would break it, I'm glad that it's you".
