Born on December 15, 1996, in Dehri, Bihar, Akash Deep faced numerous challenges early in life. His father, Ramji Singh, a school teacher, initially wanted him to focus on academics and pursue a stable government job. Cricket, in their small town, wasn't seen as a viable career path. Akash, however, harbored a deep passion for the game, fueled by India's 2007 T20 World Cup victory. In 2010, Akash moved to Durgapur, West Bengal, to join a cricket academy. He initially started as a batsman but switched to fast bowling at the suggestion of his coaches.
