The Boston Bruins, one of the NHL's Original Six franchises, have a rich history spanning over a century, from 1924-25 to 2025-26. Throughout their long and storied existence, numerous talented players have donned the black and gold, leaving their mark on the franchise through memorable performances and impressive statistics. When it comes to goal-scoring, a select few have risen above the rest, etching their names in Bruins' lore as the team's most prolific marksmen.

Topping the list of the Bruins' all-time goal scorers is Johnny Bucyk, also known as "Chief," with an impressive 545 goals. Bucyk played 21 seasons with the Bruins, from 1957 through 1978, and helped lead the team to Stanley Cup victories in 1970 and 1972. His highest single-season goal total came in 1970-71 when he reached 51 goals.

Following Bucyk is Phil Esposito, with 459 goals scored in his time with the Bruins. Esposito led the league in goal scoring for six seasons in the 1970s and also set the record for most points in a season in 1970-71.

In the third spot is Patrice Bergeron, a more recent Bruins' legend, with 427 goals. Drafted by the Bruins in 2003, Bergeron played his entire career in Boston. He was known for centering the "Perfection Line" with David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand. Bergeron recorded a career-high 32 goals in the 2018-19 season.

Right behind Bergeron is Brad Marchand, with 422 goals. Marchand has been a consistent goal scorer for the Bruins and is known for his agitating style of play.

Rounding out the top five is Rick Middleton, with 402 goals. Middleton played for the Bruins in the 1970s and 1980s and was known for his offensive skills.

The next five in the top ten are Ray Bourque (395), David Pastrnak (391), Cam Neely (344), Ken Hodge (289), and Wayne Cashman (277). Bourque is primarily known for being an elite defenseman, while Neely's career was unfortunately shortened due to injury. David Pastrnak led the Bruins in goals for the 2024-2025 season, with 43.

The remaining ten of the top twenty goal scorers are Bobby Orr (265), Peter McNab (263), David Krejci (231), Don Marcotte (230), Aubrey "Dit" Clapper and Milt Schmidt (both with 229), Keith Crowder (219), Woody Dumart (211), Glen Murray (209), and Terry O'Reilly (204). Dumart, a left winger, played his entire NHL career with the Bruins, beginning in the 1935-36 season and concluding after the 1953-54 campaign. He was a member of the Stanley Cup-winning Bruins teams in 1939 and 1941.

These top 20 goal scorers represent a wide range of eras in Bruins' history, from the early days of the franchise to the modern era. Their contributions have helped shape the Bruins into one of the most successful and storied teams in the NHL.
