Yegor Sidorov, a dynamic prospect in the Anaheim Ducks organization, has been making significant strides in his development, showcasing a blend of skill, determination, and a clear vision for his future in the NHL. The 19-year-old right winger from Belarus is turning heads with his performance and growth.

Sidorov's journey to professional hockey began in his hometown of Vitebsk, known for producing talents like the Protas brothers. Recognizing the need for a more competitive environment, his parents facilitated his move to Spartak Moscow's sports school at the age of six. This experience in Moscow proved crucial, exposing him to a higher level of competition and contributing significantly to his hockey development. After returning to Belarus and playing for Minsk teams, Sidorov transitioned to the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he spent several seasons honing his skills.

His time with the Saskatoon Blades in the WHL was particularly impressive. In the 2022-23 season, Sidorov led the Blades in goals and ranked second in points, amassing 40 goals and 76 points in 53 games. He continued his strong play into the WHL Playoffs, leading the team in goals with 9 goals and ranking second in points with 19 points in 16 games, helping Saskatoon reach the Eastern Conference Finals. His overall WHL career saw him accumulate 199 points in 177 games. In the 2023-24 season, Sidorov became the first Blades skater since 1995-96 to score 50 goals in a season, ultimately tallying 50 goals and 88 points in 66 games. His performance placed him among the top players in the WHL, tying for third in power-play goals (16) and fourth in total goals.

The Anaheim Ducks drafted Sidorov in the third round (85th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft, recognizing his potential. Following his successful WHL career, Sidorov signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Ducks, beginning in the 2024-25 season. He made his professional debut with the San Diego Gulls in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he recorded 34 points (17 goals, 17 assists) in 59 regular-season games. Among San Diego rookies, he finished second in goals, third in assists, and third in points. In the entire AHL, he ranked tied for 20th in goals by a rookie.

Adjusting to the AHL's pace and physicality has been a key focus for Sidorov. He noted the faster pace and constant, heavy forechecking as significant adjustments. Despite these challenges, he has shown steady growth, earning the trust of his coaches and valuable playing time. Sidorov has been used in a top-nine role all season and has seen time on the power play.

Sidorov remains focused on the present, emphasizing his commitment to hard work and continuous improvement. His goal is to reach the NHL as soon as possible. He appreciates the support from the Ducks fanbase, which serves as a source of inspiration. Looking ahead, Sidorov aims to keep improving every day, with the ultimate goal of solidifying his place in the NHL.
