The final round of LIV Golf Indianapolis delivered a thrilling finish, showcasing both individual brilliance and intense team competition. Jon Rahm's spectacular performance stole the spotlight as he shot an 11-under 60, his lowest round of the season. This remarkable feat propelled him to the top of the leaderboard, ultimately securing him the 2025 season-long Individual Championship.

Rahm's impressive round wasn't enough for the event title, though. He found himself in a playoff with Sebastián Muñoz, who emerged victorious on the first playoff hole. Muñoz had already made history earlier in the week by shooting a 59 in the first round, despite carding a double-bogey. He followed that up with a final-round 65 to put himself in contention.

Despite Rahm's season-long victory, Torque GC celebrated a significant triumph, clinching their first team victory since LIV Golf Greenbrier in 2023. The team's cumulative score of 64-under for the week set a new LIV Golf record, surpassing the previous low of 53-under. Joaquin Niemann, the Torque GC captain, contributed with a final-round 66, but it wasn't enough to hold off Rahm in the individual standings. He had to settle for the runner-up position in the season-long race, despite having five wins this season.

The final round also had significant implications for players battling to avoid relegation. Henrik Stenson, Andy Ogletree, and Mito Pereira found themselves in the "Drop Zone" and will face relegation from the LIV Golf League for 2026. Ian Poulter made a dramatic surge with birdies on four of his final five holes, narrowly escaping the Drop Zone. However, his late push inadvertently pushed his Majesticks GC teammate, Stenson, into the relegation zone.

The new scoring format for the 2025 LIV Golf season, where all four scores count in every round for the team competition, added another layer of strategic complexity. The intense competition in Indianapolis highlighted the depth of talent within LIV Golf, with notable performances from players like Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, and Dustin Johnson.
