Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of French forward Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan. The deal was completed in the final hours of the summer transfer window. The 26-year-old will wear the number 39 shirt for Spurs.

Kolo Muani expressed his excitement about joining the club, stating, "I'm really happy and very proud to be at such a great club. I can't wait to meet my teammates, all the fans and to get out on the pitch". He also added, "I know what the coach expects from me. I will fight hard for the shirt, the club and the fans. I will give everything for this team".

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank lauded Kolo Muani as a "quality player" with proven experience in top teams, the Champions League, and the French national team. Frank highlighted Kolo Muani's age, prime career stage, and qualities that suit both Tottenham and the Premier League. He also emphasized the versatility Kolo Muani brings, with the ability to play both out wide and through the middle. "We are all excited for what Randal can add to the squad, and I'm looking forward to working with him," Frank stated.

Kolo Muani's arrival provides Tottenham with much-needed attacking depth. The club has been operating with Richarlison as their primary fit striker, especially with Dominic Solanke recovering from an ankle injury. Kolo Muani's versatility is a significant asset, as he can cover all positions across the front line.

Prior to joining Tottenham, Kolo Muani spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus, where he scored 10 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions. He joined PSG in the summer of 2023 from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth £76.4 million. Overall, Kolo Muani has 9 goals in 31 appearances for the French national team.

Kolo Muani's career includes successful spells at Nantes and Eintracht Frankfurt. He helped Nantes win the Coupe de France, their first major honor in over 20 years. At Eintracht Frankfurt, he registered 43 goal involvements in 50 appearances and helped the team reach the 2023 German Cup Final.

Spurs have been aiming to sign a left-winger. Kolo Muani's ability to play in multiple positions makes him a valuable addition to the squad.

The loan deal is a straight loan with no option or obligation to buy included. Kolo Muani is Tottenham's eighth signing of the summer. Other signings include Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. Tottenham's total spending this summer has exceeded £180 million.
