Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank has stated that Daniel Levy's recent departure as chairman has not significantly impacted his role at the club. Frank, like many in the footballing world, was taken by surprise by Levy's exit, which occurred after more than two decades of service. Levy was asked to leave his post as the club sought a new direction.

Frank admitted that he had been planning for a long working relationship with Levy. He noted that his interactions with the former chairman were primarily focused around the transfer window, which had recently closed. Therefore, the day-to-day changes at the club might be more keenly felt by those who worked more closely with Levy over a longer period.

Speaking ahead of Tottenham's match against West Ham, Frank told Sky Sports that he had no indication Levy was going to depart so soon after Frank's own appointment. Despite the surprise, Frank remains optimistic about the future, hoping for something "bigger and better" for the club.

Frank paid tribute to Levy, acknowledging the "massive praise" he deserves for his contributions to the club. He highlighted Levy's role in building the club's foundations for the future, specifically mentioning the "fantastic training centre" and the "world-class" Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Frank believes these facilities enable Tottenham to compete with the biggest clubs.

Frank revealed that he had spoken with Levy since his departure to express his gratitude. He thanked Levy for appointing him as head coach, acknowledging that Levy had the "decisive words" in his hiring.

While Levy is gone, Frank emphasized that the ownership of the club remains the same, with ENIC, owned by the Lewis family trust, still in control. Frank, along with chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and new non-executive chairman Peter Charrington, are considered "the right team to deliver" success on the field, which is the Lewis family's desire. The majority shareholders are very committed to the club and want to build something good for the future. Frank reiterated that his main focus remains on his job and the upcoming match against West Ham. He also hopes to be more aware of the club's future plans.
