Andy Robertson has openly discussed his Liverpool future, expressing a strong desire to remain with the club beyond his current contract, which has just over a year remaining. Fresh off a Premier League title win, Robertson stated his belief in his ability to perform at the highest level for the club.

Robertson addressed his contract situation in a candid discussion with Jamie Carragher at a Football For Change charity event. He playfully urged fans to support his contract renewal with the same enthusiasm they showed for Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk's new deals, while also humorously requesting Carragher to cease linking the club with other left-backs.

Despite a season occasionally disrupted by injuries and squad rotation, Robertson made 30 Premier League appearances and contributed to Liverpool's league-leading 14 clean sheets. He remains focused on maintaining his performance and consistency.

Robertson acknowledged Liverpool's links with Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez but appeared unfazed by the competition. He asserted his belief in his continued ability to deliver strong performances at the highest level, expressing his hope to stay at Liverpool for many years to come.

Robertson also addressed his future earlier in the summer, admitting he considered a move to Atletico Madrid. Ultimately, he decided to remain at Anfield, a decision he says was influenced by his strong connection to the club. He explained that his "heart was still in Liverpool" and that he and his family are very settled there.

Following Liverpool's Premier League title victory, Robertson expressed his hope that the club can build a new era of dominance under manager Arne Slot. He reflected on past successes and near misses, using them as motivation for the future. He highlighted the team's desire to experience winning the Premier League with the fans and believes the experiences within the squad will be key to future success.

Robertson's commitment to Liverpool is further underscored by Slot's decision to name him as the team's vice-captain, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold. Despite potentially reduced playing time, this ensures Robertson will continue to play an important role within the squad. While he hopes for increased minutes after the international break, he acknowledges that limited game time is part of football.
