Chase Stillman, acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins for Arturs Silovs, is another player to watch.

The goaltending contingent consists of Thatcher Demko, Kevin Lankinen, and a handful of other netminders vying for position. Jiri Patera, Aku Koskenvuo, Nikita Tolopilo and Aleksei Medvedev are also listed on the roster.
The Canucks recently wrapped up their Prospect Showcase against the Seattle Kraken, splitting the two-game series. In the first game, Vancouver jumped to a 3-0 lead but ultimately lost 5-3. Vilmer Alriksson, Gabriel Chiarot, and Nick Poisson scored for the Canucks, with Aleksei Medvedev starting in goal. Vancouver rebounded in the second game, winning 3-2 with goals from Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Aaron Obabaifo, and Riley Patterson, and Aku Koskenvuo in net. Despite leaving the first game of the Prospect Showcase, 2025 first-round pick Braeden Cootes is expected to be available for training camp.
The Canucks' first preseason game is scheduled for September 21 in Seattle against the Kraken.
