Fulham secured a 3-1 victory over Brentford in a West London derby at Craven Cottage, with Alex Iwobi playing a pivotal role in the team's comeback. After conceding an early goal, Fulham responded with goals from Iwobi and Harry Wilson, along with an own goal from Ethan Pinnock.

Brentford initially took the lead in the 20th minute when Mikkel Damsgaard capitalized on a misplaced pass from Fulham's Josh King to slot the ball past goalkeeper Bernd Leno. However, Fulham quickly regrouped, and Iwobi spearheaded their attacking efforts.

Iwobi's equalizer came in the 38th minute, as he reacted quickly to a defensive lapse and fired a low shot past Brentford's goalkeeper. Just two minutes later, Iwobi turned provider, delivering a precise cross that found Harry Wilson, who curled a shot into the bottom corner to give Fulham the lead.

Early in the second half, Fulham extended their advantage when Ethan Pinnock inadvertently diverted Ryan Sessegnon's cross into his own net. Despite attempts from Brentford to get back into the game, Fulham maintained control and saw out the match comfortably.

Iwobi's performance was particularly noteworthy, as he not only scored a goal but also provided an assist. His intelligent play and ability to transition quickly were crucial to Fulham's attacking ambition. This was only the second time in Iwobi's Premier League career that he has both scored and assisted in the same match.

The victory marked Fulham's first three-goal haul since May and demonstrated the team's progress under Marco Silva. Silva had emphasized the importance of character and atmosphere before the game, and his players responded with a spirited performance. The result also took some of the shine off Keith Andrews' start as Brentford manager.
