Miami University RedHawks completed a weekend sweep of the Ferris State Bulldogs with a 3-1 victory on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at home in Oxford, Ohio. This win marks Miami's first sweep over Ferris State since January 15-16, 2010, and their first in Oxford since December 1-2, 2006.

The RedHawks got off to a fast start, with Justin Stupka scoring just 16 seconds into the game after receiving a pass from Casper Nassen. The game remained 1-0 until the third period when Ferris State's Josh Zary tipped in a shot by Christopher Lie on the power play at the 10:05 mark, tying the game 1-1.

With less than three minutes remaining in the game, Miami's Kocha Delic scored his first collegiate goal, breaking the tie and putting the RedHawks ahead 2-1. Michael Quinn's shot from the blue line created a rebound that Delic capitalized on. Ilia Morozov and Matteo Giampa were also credited with assists on the play. Maximilion Helgeson sealed the victory with an unassisted empty-net goal in the final minute, making the final score 3-1.

Miami's goalie, Matteo Drobac, had 19 saves out of 20 shots and became the first Miami goaltender to win his first two starts since 2012. The RedHawks blocked 22 shots, with Vladislav Lukashevich leading the team with a career-high of six blocked shots.

Following the game, Delic was named First Star, Stupka received Second Star honors, and Helgeson was named Third Star.

On Friday, October 3, 2025, Miami defeated Ferris State 6-4. Matteo Giampa scored two goals, including the game-winner. Michael Quinn, Casper Nassen, Justin Stupka, and Bradley Walker each contributed a goal. Matteo Drobac stopped 32 of 36 shots.

Despite the wins, Miami struggled in faceoffs, winning only 41.7% on Saturday.

Miami (2-0-0) will travel to Troy, New York, for a two-game series against RPI on October 10 and 11. Ferris State will play Western Michigan Broncos on October 9 and 10.
