Indian Street Premier League Auction: Star Power Fuels Rs 10 Crore Spending; Team Squads Revealed.

The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) Season 3 auction concluded in Mumbai on Tuesday, with the eight franchises splurging nearly ₹10 crore to acquire 144 players. The event was a star-studded affair, drawing cricket legends, Bollywood celebrities, and team owners, highlighting the league's growing popularity and influence.

The auction saw intense bidding wars as teams strategically built their squads for the upcoming season, which will be held from January 9 to February 6, 2026, at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat. This season marks an expansion for the ISPL, with the addition of two new teams: Delhi Superheros, owned by Salman Khan, and Ahmedabad Lions, owned by Ajay Devgn. They join the existing franchises owned by prominent figures such as Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan & Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Suriya, Hrithik Roshan, and Ram Charan.

Vijay Pawle, an all-rounder from the West Zone, emerged as the biggest draw, fetching a league-record ₹32.50 lakh from the defending champions, Majhi Mumbai. Chennai Singams used their Right to Match (RTM) card to retain Ketan Mhatre for ₹26.40 lakh, making him the second-highest pick of the day. Each existing franchise had two RTM cards to reclaim players from their Season 2 roster.

The auction pool consisted of 408 players from 101 cities, categorized into six zones: U-19, North, South, East, West, and Central. Each player had a base price of ₹3 lakh. Teams were required to build 18-player squads, including at least two U-19 players and ensuring zonal representation to create balanced teams. Ankit Yadav became the most expensive U-19 player, bought by Tiigers of Kolkata for ₹6.50 lakh. Rudra Patil, at 16 years old, became the youngest player to be picked, joining Srinagar Ke Veer for ₹3 lakh.
