Inter Miami's Valuation Soars Past LAFC, Crowned MLS's Most Valuable Club at $1.45 Billion.

Inter Miami has reportedly surpassed Los Angeles FC (LAFC) to become the most valuable club in Major League Soccer (MLS), with a valuation of $1.45 billion. This marks a significant shift in the league's financial landscape, as LAFC had previously held the top spot. According to Sportico's latest MLS valuations, Inter Miami's valuation represents a 22% increase compared to the previous year.

The rise in Inter Miami's value is largely attributed to the arrival of Lionel Messi in 2023. Messi's presence has had a profound impact on the club's commercial and media structure, boosting revenue streams, international exposure, and interest from new audiences. The club's projected revenue for 2026 is estimated to reach $250 million, a figure unmatched by any other team in MLS.

The average MLS team is now worth $767 million, which is up 6% from 2025. The total value of all MLS franchises is now $23 billion. Five teams now have a valuation of over $1 billion.

LAFC, which now holds the second position, is valued at $1.4 billion, a 9% increase from last year. Despite the increase, it wasn't enough to hold onto the top spot. In 2023, LAFC was the first MLS franchise to be valued at $1 billion.

Inter Miami's surge to the top has also led them to surpass other established MLS franchises such as LA Galaxy, Atlanta United, and New York City FC. These clubs had previously dominated the league economically. The increase in valuation highlights the continued growth of MLS.
