A contingent of seven Indian coach educators recently participated in the FIFA Coach Educators Development Pathway Programme held in Jakarta, Indonesia. This five-day intensive course, organized by FIFA's Coaching Development Department, aimed to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of coach educators, emphasizing modern coaching principles, advanced educational methodologies, and peer-to-peer learning.

The Indian participants included Vivek Nagul (AIFF Head of Coach Development), Sajid Dar, Mariano Dias, Shakti Chauhan, Caetano Pinho, Shekhar Kerkar, and Parthasarthy Thulasi. Their involvement underscores India's growing commitment to improving football coaching standards and contributing to global football development initiatives.

The workshop provided a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants from India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia. This cross-regional dialogue fostered the sharing of best practices in coach education, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of football development strategies.

The sessions were conducted under the leadership of Branimir Ujević, FIFA Head of Coach Education, and facilitated by Oscar Díaz, Coaching Development Delivery Manager for AFC and OFC. Technical expertise was provided by Scott O'Donnell, Savio Medeira, Sean Douglas, and Jamal Alhassani.

Sajid Yousuf Dar, an international football coach and coach educator from Kashmir, expressed his gratitude to FIFA and AIFF for the recognition and reaffirmed his dedication to contributing to the growth of football education and coaching standards in India. He also thanked the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the University of Kashmir for allowing him to attend the program.
