The Florida Panthers rebounded from a tough loss in Anaheim with a decisive 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena. The Panthers, now 7-6-1, showcased a strong performance, snapping a five-loss streak in their initial six road games this season.

Sam Bennett initiated the scoring for Florida just over two minutes into the first period, securing his third goal of the season by capitalizing on a rebound from a Jeff Petry shot. The Kings responded with Anze Kopitar deflecting an Adrian Kempe shot on a power play at 9:23, followed by Corey Perry scoring on a breakaway less than two minutes later to give the Kings a 2-1 lead. Brad Marchand, however, evened the score at 2-2 with a goal at 17:30 of the first period.

The second period saw Sam Reinhart, celebrating his 30th birthday, net the game-winning goal at 11:45, taking advantage of a rebound opportunity to secure his fifth goal in the last six games.

Anton Lundell extended Florida's lead with a short-handed goal at 8:41 of the third period, beating Kings goalie Anton Forsberg. Marchand then sealed the victory with his second goal of the night at 12:26, taking advantage of a turnover in the Kings' zone. Marchand has now scored in three straight games. Sergei Bobrovsky made 24 saves for the Panthers. Forsberg stopped 19 shots for the Kings.

The Panthers outscored the Kings 2-0 in the final period. Florida had been previously outscored 13-3 in the third period of road games.

The Kings struggled at home, claiming only one win in seven home games. Several members of the Los Angeles Dodgers were present at the game.
