Each player will be presented with ₹2.25 crore in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the nation's historic victory.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, following a meeting of the Maharashtra Cabinet led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, who lauded the team's unprecedented achievement. The Chief Minister praised the Maharashtra contingent for their vital contributions to India's success.

India secured its first-ever ICC Women's Cricket World Cup title by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in a thrilling final held in Navi Mumbai on November 2, 2025. The victory sparked celebrations across the nation, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also announcing a ₹51 crore prize pool for the entire team, including support staff and the selection committee.

In addition to the players, Amol Muzumdar, the coach of the Indian women's team who hails from Mumbai, will also be rewarded with a cash prize of ₹22.5 lakh. This recognizes his crucial role in guiding the team to their maiden ICC title at the senior level in women's cricket.

Gold medalists in the Olympics or Paralympics receive ₹3.75 crore each, while their coaches are awarded ₹37.5 lakh.
