Dillon Danis, a name synonymous with controversy and known for his association with Conor McGregor as his former jiu-jitsu coach, recently made headlines not for his fighting prowess, but for a successful sports bet. Danis, who has a history of both significant wins and losses in the gambling world, walked away with a substantial $17,000 profit after wagering on the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of their series.

Danis placed a $12,000 bet on the Thunder. Sharing his bet on X, he expressed determination to recover from a previous loss, stating, "Got toasted last bet. Gotta get it back. 12k on OKC tonight. Let's go." This time, fortune favored him as the Thunder secured a 7-point victory over the Pacers.

This win comes as a welcome change for Danis, who has experienced the bitter taste of defeat in the past. In October 2024, he placed a bold $40,000 bet on the New York Yankees to win against the Cleveland Guardians in the ALCS. Confident in the Yankees' 3-0 lead, Danis was poised to win $75,200. However, the Guardians staged a comeback, leaving Danis empty-handed.

The unpredictability of sports and the allure of big money continue to draw Danis into the betting arena. Beyond placing bets, he was once a partner with an online sportsbook and betting house, indicating a deeper involvement in the gambling industry.

Meanwhile, on the court, Game 4 of the series between the Thunder and Pacers was a pivotal clash. The Pacers, playing at home, aimed to extend their lead, while the Thunder fought to level the series. The game was a rollercoaster, with both teams showcasing their strengths.

The Pacers started strong, fueled by their home crowd and efficient shooting. However, the Thunder remained resilient, hanging around despite cold shooting from beyond the arc. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's outstanding performance, particularly in the fourth quarter where he scored 15 points, proved crucial for the Thunder.

Despite the Pacers' efforts, the Thunder's defense tightened in the final minutes, limiting Indiana's scoring opportunities. Oklahoma City's ability to secure offensive rebounds in the fourth quarter also proved decisive. Ultimately, the Thunder's strong finish secured a 111-104 victory, tying the series at 2-2.

The series now shifts back to Oklahoma City, with both teams eager to gain an edge. The Pacers will need to regroup and address the issues that led to their Game 4 loss, while the Thunder will aim to maintain their momentum and capitalize on their home-court advantage.
