The Big Bash League (BBL) is set to witness a surge of international talent as veteran England bowlers James Anderson and Jofra Archer have registered for the upcoming draft. This year's draft is particularly noteworthy, as it features a record pool of over 600 overseas players vying for a spot in the competition. Among this diverse group, only one male cricketer hails from India: former Indian pacer Siddarth Kaul.

Anderson, who would be 43 years old if selected, could become the oldest overseas player to participate in the league. Siddarth Kaul, the sole Indian male participant in the draft, adds an intriguing dimension to the selection process. The BBL and WBBL drafts are scheduled to take place on June 19. The Brisbane Heat will have the coveted No. 1 pick in the men's draft, giving them the first opportunity to select from the stacked pool of international talent. In the WBBL, the Sydney Sixers secured the No. 1 pick.
