Following their Premier League title win in Arne Slot's first season, Liverpool are gearing up for the 2025/26 season with a series of pre-season friendlies. The team will return to the AXA Training Centre on July 7, 2025, before embarking on a tour that includes matches in England, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Liverpool's pre-season schedule includes six confirmed matches across three countries. The pre-season kicks off with a match against Preston North End at Deepdale on July 13th. This will be followed by a trip to Asia, where they will face AC Milan in Hong Kong on July 26th at the Kai Tak Sports Park. Continuing their Asian tour, Liverpool will then head to Japan to play Yokohama F. Marinos at the Nissan Stadium on July 30th.

Upon returning to Anfield, Liverpool will host a double-header against Athletic Club on August 4th, with the first match kicking off at 5pm and the second at 8pm. These matches will provide a good test for the squad before they head to Wembley.

The pre-season will culminate in the FA Community Shield match against Crystal Palace at Wembley on August 10th. This match will serve as the final preparation before the start of the Premier League season.

These pre-season matches are crucial for Arne Slot to integrate new players and refine the team's tactics. With no major international tournaments to contend with this summer, Slot will have ample time to work with his squad. The games will also allow fans to see the team in action and get a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming season.

The 2025/26 Premier League season is set to begin on the weekend of August 15th, giving Liverpool 83 days between the end of the previous season and the start of the new one. Liverpool's first Premier League match will be at home against Bournemouth on August 15th, followed by an away game against Newcastle on August 23rd, and a home match against Arsenal on August 30th.

As Liverpool prepares for the new season, these pre-season friendlies will be vital in ensuring the team is ready to defend their Premier League title and compete in other competitions.
