Rosters

The process to determine the 10 starters for the All-Star Game began in June with fan voting. Fans accounted for 50% of the final vote, while current players and a select media panel each accounted for 25%. The top two vote-getters were named captains and will select their teams via a draft on July 8.

Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx were named the All-Star captains after receiving the most fan votes. Clark received a record-breaking 1,293,526 votes, while Collier tallied 1,176,020. The remaining eight All-Star starters will be announced on Monday, June 30, and the 12 reserve players will be announced on Sunday, July 6. The team draft, where Clark and Collier will select their teams, will be broadcast on ESPN during WNBA Countdown on July 8 at 7 p.m. ET.

Players to Watch

While the final rosters are yet to be determined, several players are expected to be in contention for All-Star spots. Some potential starters include:

  • Skylar Diggins (Seattle Storm)
  • Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream)
  • Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty)
  • Kelsey Plum (Las Vegas Aces)
  • Aliyah Boston (Indiana Fever)

Napheesa Collier is having a stellar season, putting up career-highs in scoring, assists, blocks, and field goal percentage. Kelsey Plum is also performing well, carrying her team offensively and posting career-highs in scoring and assists.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game promises to be an exciting event, showcasing the league's best talent in Indianapolis. With various events and activities planned throughout the weekend, fans will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate women's basketball.
