A heartwarming video of Natasha Howard has surfaced, adding to the excitement surrounding the Indiana Fever's game against the Los Angeles Sparks. The Indiana Fever recently shared an Instagram reel showcasing Howard making a one-legged half-court shot during a contest. Her teammates erupted in celebration, chanting "MVP! MVP!" as Howard basked in the afterglow of her impressive feat.

The video highlights Howard's leadership and impact on the team, especially in light of Caitlin Clark's injury. Howard's recent performance in the Commissioner's Cup final against the Minnesota Lynx, where she earned MVP honors, further solidifies her importance to the Fever. In that game, Howard had 16 points and 12 rebounds. The Fever secured an 81-54 victory over the Las Vegas Aces, marking their first win against the Aces since 2019. Howard stated after the win that her goal was to make Phee take hard shots, and that’s what she did that night.

Kelsey Mitchell praised Howard's performance, further highlighting her value to the team. Teammates and fans alike recognize Howard's contributions. Howard has made it clear that she has high goals for the season, including winning MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards.

The Indiana Fever signed Natasha Howard as a free agent on February 2, 2025. This marked a return to Indiana for Howard, who was initially drafted by the Fever as the No. 5 overall pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft and played with the team in 2014 and 2015. Bringing Howard back was a priority for the Fever's front office after the 2024 season. Howard is a three-time WNBA Champion, a two-time WNBA All-Star (2019 & 2022) and was named the 2019 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year. She has also won championships overseas, including two Turkish League championships (2022-23 & 2023-24), two EuroLeague titles (2023 & 2024), the 2023 FIBA Europe SuperCup, and the 2024 Turkish Cup.

The Indiana Fever (9-8) hosted the Los Angeles Sparks (5-13) on Saturday, July 5, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game was scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM ET and was available on WNBA League Pass. The Fever entered the game on a three-game winning streak, while the Sparks have struggled this season. The Sparks won the previous matchup against the Fever with a score of 85-75.
