Wimbledon 2025 has seen a host of cricket stars grace its grounds, adding to the tournament's already impressive sporting and celebrity atmosphere. While Virat Kohli's attendance with his wife Anushka Sharma at Novak Djokovic's match drew considerable attention, he wasn't the only cricketing royalty present at the All England Club.

Rishabh Pant, India's Test vice-captain, was also spotted at Wimbledon, fresh from India's Test victory against England at Edgbaston. Pant, who was smartly dressed in a pin-striped blazer and cream trousers, was welcomed by Wimbledon's official social media accounts.

England batter Joe Root, along with veteran fast bowler James Anderson, also took time out from the ongoing Test series to attend Wimbledon. Root had a special moment meeting tennis legend Roger Federer at Centre Court, with Anderson also present. A photo of Root shaking hands with Federer, who has won a record eight Wimbledon titles, quickly went viral, thrilling fans of both sports.

Adding to the star-studded lineup was West Indies cricket legend Brian Lara, who was seen enjoying the matches from the Royal Box. Lara, looking sharp in a suit and sunglasses, shared the Royal Box with other famous sports stars. The official Wimbledon account also shared pictures of Lara on their social media.

Kohli, who witnessed Novak Djokovic's fourth-round win, expressed his admiration for tennis players, stating that playing cricket, even in packed stadiums, is less intimidating than competing on Wimbledon's Centre Court. He highlighted the immense pressure tennis players face, especially in crucial matches, and praised their composure, fitness, and mental fortitude. Kohli drew parallels to the India-Pakistan World Cup games, acknowledging the intense pressure in both sports.

The presence of these cricket stars at Wimbledon highlights the crossover appeal of the tournament and the mutual respect among athletes from different sports. It also underscores the global allure of Wimbledon, which continues to attract not just tennis fans but also celebrities and sports personalities from around the world.
