Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a name now synonymous with prodigious talent and record-breaking feats in the world of cricket, has achieved a historic milestone at the tender age of 14. The young cricketer from Bihar has consistently defied expectations, establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with on both the domestic and international stages.

Suryavanshi's journey began at the age of four, nurtured by his father who recognized his passion for the sport. By nine, he was honing his skills at a cricket academy in Samastipur. His talent quickly shone through, earning him a spot in Bihar's Ranji Trophy squad at just 12 years and 284 days old, making him the youngest Indian to debut in first-class cricket since 1986.

In September 2024, Suryavanshi made his India U-19 debut in a Youth Test match against Australia in Chennai. He announced his arrival with a stunning 62-ball 104, showcasing his aggressive batting style and immense potential. This was followed by another record-breaking performance in a Youth ODI against England in Worcester on July 5, 2025, where he smashed a 52-ball century, the fastest in Youth ODIs. At 14 years and 100 days, he also became the youngest centurion in YODI history.

His success extends to the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he was signed by the Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.1 crore. On April 19, 2025, he became the youngest player to debut in the IPL at 14 years and 23 days. He marked his debut with a six off his first ball and followed it up with a rapid 34 off 20 balls. Days later, he etched his name in the record books again, scoring a century off just 38 balls against Gujarat Titans, becoming the youngest player to score a century in the IPL and T20 cricket.

Recently, Suryavanshi added another feather to his cap during the Youth Test series against England. In the first Test, he became the youngest player to score a half-century and take a wicket in the same Youth Test match before turning 15. He scored a quickfire 56 in the second innings and took two wickets with his left-arm spin.

Suryavanshi's achievements have drawn comparisons to cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh, who made their first-class debuts at a comparatively older age. His explosive batting, coupled with his ability to contribute with the ball, makes him a valuable asset to any team. While his journey has just begun, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has already conquered numerous milestones, solidifying his place as one of the most promising young talents in cricket.
