Manchester United secured their first Premier League win of the season in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Burnley at Old Trafford. A late penalty from Bruno Fernandes sealed the win for the Red Devils after a hard-fought match against the newly-promoted Clarets.

The game was an entertaining five-goal thriller, providing some relief for United's manager, Ruben Amorim, who was under increasing pressure following their shock Carabao Cup exit to Grimsby Town. Amorim made eight changes to the starting lineup from the midweek defeat, with only Matheus Cunha, Amad, and Diogo Dalot retaining their places.

United took the lead through an own goal by Burnley captain Josh Cullen, but Lyle Foster leveled the score early in the second half. Bryan Mbeumo quickly restored United's advantage with his first Premier League goal for the club. However, Burnley fought back again, with Jaidon Anthony equalizing to make it 2-2. In injury time, Anthony was penalized for pulling Amad's shirt, leading to Fernandes's decisive penalty.

Despite the win, United's goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, had another shaky performance, contributing to Burnley's second goal. The team also suffered injuries to key players, Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur suffered their first defeat of the Premier League season, losing 1-0 at home to Bournemouth. Francisco Evanilson's early goal proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Bournemouth controlled the game from the start, with Evanilson's shot in the 5th minute finding the net. Tottenham struggled to create chances, failing to register a single shot on target in the first half. Bournemouth's goalkeeper was barely tested throughout the match, highlighting Tottenham's attacking struggles.

Tottenham's new manager, Thomas Frank, suffered his first Premier League defeat after guiding the team to back-to-back wins in the opening two games. The loss leaves Tottenham with 6 points from their first three matches. Bournemouth, on the other hand, climbed to sixth place in the league with the victory.
