Jack Grealish is making waves at Everton, and his stellar performances haven't gone unnoticed, even drawing high praise from former Manchester City teammate Erling Haaland. After Everton's recent 3-2 victory over Wolves, Haaland playfully dubbed Grealish "Jack De Bruyne" on social media, likening him to Manchester City's midfield maestro, Kevin De Bruyne.

Grealish, currently on loan at Everton from Manchester City, has quickly become a key figure for the Toffees. His contributions in the match against Wolves included two assists, showcasing his playmaking abilities and vision on the field. He assisted Beto's opening goal and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's first goal for the club. Grealish's impact extends beyond assists; he consistently troubled the Wolves' defense, drawing fouls and influencing the game's flow.

Everton manager David Moyes has also lauded Grealish's impact, admitting that the player is "better than I thought he was". Moyes emphasized Grealish's desire to prove himself and his commitment to the team. He highlighted Grealish's creativity and ability to contribute to scoring opportunities. Moyes stated, "It's nothing to do with me, let me tell you, it's all to do with Jack and his own mentality to be better,".

Grealish's loan move to Everton came after a period where he struggled to find consistent playing time at Manchester City. Despite being a popular figure within the City squad, he only made seven Premier League starts last season. At Everton, he seems to have found a new lease on life, quickly establishing himself as a fan favorite and a crucial part of the team's attacking setup.

His strong start to the season has propelled Everton to fifth in the Premier League as they approach the international break. In just three matches, Grealish has already provided four assists, which is currently the highest among all players in the competition. Only Dwight McNeil has provided more assists for Everton since last season.

The match against Wolves saw Everton take an early lead, with Grealish assisting Beto. Although Wolves equalized through Hwang Hee-Chan, Everton regained the lead with a goal from Iliman Ndiaye. Grealish then assisted Dewsbury-Hall's goal, making it 3-1. Despite a late goal from Rodrigo Gomes, Everton secured the 3-2 victory.

Grealish's success at Everton can be attributed to his exceptional skills and his strong mentality. He possesses the ability to change the course of a match with his incisive passing, dribbling, and ability to draw fouls. His link-up play with teammates like Beto, Ndiaye, and Dewsbury-Hall has been particularly effective.

Beyond his on-field contributions, Grealish is known for his personality and close relationships with his teammates. During his time at Manchester City, he formed a strong bond with Erling Haaland. The two players often engaged in playful banter, and Haaland has consistently praised Grealish's abilities.

Grealish joined Aston Villa at the age of six, later becoming club captain in 2019. In 2021, he moved to Manchester City for a then-record fee for a British player. Now, on loan at Everton for the 2025-26 season, Grealish is proving his worth and silencing doubters.
