The Indian Men's Hockey team showcased a dominant performance, crushing Kazakhstan 15-0 in their final Pool A match at the Asia Cup 2025 in Rajgir, Bihar. With this victory, India marched into the Super 4 stage of the tournament with an all-win record.
From the starting whistle, India asserted their dominance. Abhishek drew first blood, scoring in the 5th minute, followed by another goal in the 8th minute. Sukhjeet Singh further extended the lead in the 15th minute, ending the first quarter with a 3-0 advantage for India.
The second quarter saw India continue their relentless attack. Abhishek completed his hat-trick in the 20th minute. Jugraj Singh converted a penalty corner in the 24th minute, and Captain Harmanpreet Singh added another goal in the 26th minute. Amit Rohidas also joined the scoresheet in the 29th minute. Sukhjeet Singh scored in the 32nd minute, further increasing India's lead.
After halftime, India continued their onslaught. Sukhjeet Singh completed his hat-trick in the 38th minute. Jugraj Singh scored his second goal in the 31st minute and completed his hat-trick in the 47th minute. Sanjay scored from a penalty corner in the 54th minute, and Dilpreet Singh added another goal in the 55th minute. Abhishek finished off the scoring spree with his fourth goal in the 59th minute.
Several players contributed to this resounding victory, with Abhishek, Sukhjeet Singh, and Jugraj Singh each scoring a hat-trick. Captain Harmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Sanjay, and Dilpreet Singh also added their names to the scoresheet.
India had already secured their place in the Super 4s after a 3-2 victory over Japan. In that match, Mandeep Singh and Captain Harmanpreet Singh (2) scored for India. Goalkeeper Krishan B Pathak marked his 150th international appearance in the game against Japan.
With this dominant win over Kazakhstan, India finished at the top of Pool A with nine points from three games. Malaysia and Korea also advanced to the Super 4s from Pool B. Malaysia crushed Chinese Taipei 15-0, while Korea defeated Bangladesh 5-1. China and Korea have also booked their spots in the Super 4s. China secured a draw against Japan, while Korea defeated Bangladesh.
