The tournament will follow a format similar to the FIFA World Cup, with 32 teams divided into eight groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, beginning with the round of 16, quarterfinals, semi-finals, and culminating in the final on July 13.

The opening match will be between Al Ahly and Inter Miami at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 14. The final will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Other venues include the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and Audi Field in Washington D.C.
