Andre Onana Benched Again: Manchester United Gears Up for Premier League Showdown Against Fulham.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has once again opted to leave Andre Onana on the bench for their Premier League match against Fulham, despite the latter's return to the squad. Altay Bayindir will start in goal for the Red Devils.

The decision comes after Bayindir's costly error in last week's 1-0 loss to Arsenal, where he failed to deal with a corner, leading to Riccardo Calafiori's goal. This decision has led many fans and pundits to question whether Onana would be given a starting berth. Amorim defended Bayindir after the Arsenal game, saying he has the potential to be "unbelievable". Amorim admitted that Bayindir should have caught the ball but still felt confident enough to start him against Fulham.

The Manchester United squad has been overhauled this summer, with the club bringing in Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha for a reported £194m. Despite the changes, United lost their season opener against Arsenal. However, the general consensus was that they were unlucky not to get anything from the game. Amorim's side performed admirably in their narrow 1–0 loss to Arsenal last weekend and should have gotten something from a competitive affair. Amorim seemed pleased with the team's overall performance against Arsenal.

Manchester United are in talks to sign Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens for around £17 million. Amorim wants to add more competition for places. Lammens has already agreed to the move and is expected to compete with Onana for the starting position. This raises questions about the futures of Bayindir and Onana. It is expected that Onana will remain at Old Trafford. Bayindir is likely to depart before the transfer window closes, while veteran Tom Heaton will provide cover.

Amorim has made just one change to the team that lost to Arsenal, with Amad Diallo replacing Diogo Dalot at right wing-back. Benjamin Sesko will have to wait for his first start, with Mason Mount starting alongside Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in attack.

Fulham and Manchester United will both be aiming for their first win of the season. Fulham managed to salvage a 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. Meanwhile, Manchester United are looking to secure their first win of the Premier League season when they visit Fulham. United have won on their last eight trips to Craven Cottage. In the corresponding fixture last season, Lisandro Martinez scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory for United.

Marco Silva's Fulham team news sees Antonee Robinson and Ryan Sessegnon in contention, with Silva making a late decision after Saturday's training session. The Fulham side sees Bernd Leno in goal, with Kenny Tete, Calvin Bassey, Joachim Andersen, and Timothy Castagne in defense. Sasa Lukic and Sander Berge are the defensive midfield pairing, with Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi, and Josh King supporting Rodrigo Muniz up front.

The Manchester United squad sees Altay Bayindir starting in goal, with a back three of Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, and Luke Shaw. Diogo Dalot comes in at wing back alongside Patrick Dorgu, with Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in midfield. Mason Mount starts with Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo up front. Andre Onana is on the bench.
