Man United Star's Injury in Tottenham Game Forces Withdrawal from Upcoming International Matches

Manchester United's Benjamin Šeško has withdrawn from international duty with Slovenia after suffering a knee injury during the dramatic 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. The £73 million signing was forced off the pitch in the second half, leaving fans and manager Ruben Amorim concerned about the extent of the damage.

Šeško, who joined United from RB Leipzig this summer, came on as a substitute in the 59th minute, replacing Noussair Mazraoui. He had a golden opportunity to put United ahead when Mason Mount played him through on goal. However, he was denied by a last-ditch tackle from Spurs defender Micky van de Ven, and appeared to injure his knee in the process. Amorim was forced to withdraw Šeško, leaving United with 10 men for the final stages of the match after already using all his substitutions.

"I'm concerned with an injury, because it is in the knee, and I don't know," Amorim said in his post-match press conference. "We need Ben [Sesko] to be a better team. We have to check. He has something in his knee. Let's see".

While the full extent of the injury is still unknown, initial scans suggest that Šeško has avoided a major injury. He will remain at Carrington training complex for further assessment and treatment. United are optimistic that the forward may be available for selection for their next Premier League match against Everton on November 24.

Šeško's absence is a blow for Slovenia, who are currently third in their World Cup qualifying group. They face crucial matches against Kosovo and Sweden, and need to win both to keep their qualification hopes alive.

In addition to Šeško's injury, Manchester United also saw Harry Maguire and Casemiro forced off during the game against Tottenham. Maguire appeared to suffer a hamstring problem, while Casemiro's injury is not thought to be too serious. Kobbie Mainoo was also ruled out of the game before kick-off with a minor knock.

Meanwhile, defender Lisandro Martínez, who has been sidelined since February with a knee injury, has been released to train with the Argentina national team during the international break. Despite not being fit enough to be called up to the squad, United believe that training at a high level with Argentina will benefit his recovery.

Tottenham also suffered an injury blow during the match, with Randal Kolo Muani being substituted at half-time with a facial injury. It has since been revealed that the forward suffered a fractured jaw and has been replaced in the France squad by Florian Thauvin.
