Van de Ven's Brace Fuels Tottenham's Dominant Performance: Spurs Triumph Over Everton with Decisive Win.

Micky van de Ven scored twice as Tottenham Hotspur cruised to a 3-0 victory against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday, extending their impressive away form in the Premier League. The win propelled Tottenham to third in the league standings, while Everton suffered their first defeat at their new home.

The match was heavily influenced by set-pieces, with Van de Ven's aerial prowess proving decisive at both ends of the pitch. Tottenham capitalized on their corner opportunities, while Everton struggled to convert their own.

Everton started brightly, nearly taking the lead in the 3rd minute when Iliman Ndiaye's cross found Jack Grealish, whose powerful shot was blocked by Pedro Porro. Beto then fired the rebound over the bar. Tottenham, however, settled into the game and began to control possession.

Tottenham's breakthrough came in the 19th minute from a Mohammed Kudus corner. Rodrigo Bentancur redirected the ball into the six-yard box, where Van de Ven rose highest to head home, marking the first set-piece goal Everton has conceded this season.

Everton thought they had equalized in the 24th minute through Jake O'Brien, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review. Iliman Ndiaye was deemed to have been in an offside position and interfering with Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Van de Ven doubled Tottenham's lead in added time at the end of the first half, again from a corner. Pedro Porro's delivery was met by the head of the Dutch defender, who powered it past Jordan Pickford.

In the second half, Everton attempted to rally, but Tottenham's defense, led by Van de Ven and Kevin Danso, remained resolute. Vicario made crucial saves to deny Beto and Ndiaye.

Tottenham sealed the victory in the 89th minute when Pape Matar Sarr headed in from close range after Richarlison nodded the ball across the goal.

The victory means Tottenham are the only team to remain unbeaten away from home in the Premier League this season. Everton, meanwhile, will look to bounce back in their next match against Sunderland, while Tottenham will face Newcastle in the EFL Cup.
