Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has announced her engagement to music composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal in a charming and creative Instagram reveal. The announcement, made on Thursday, November 20, 2025, puts an end to speculation about their relationship, which reportedly began in 2019. The wedding is reportedly set for November 23.

Mandhana, the vice-captain of the Indian women's national cricket team, shared a playful reel featuring her teammates Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav, and Arundhati Reddy. The video, set to the Bollywood song "Samjho Ho Hi Gaya" from the movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai, shows the cricketers performing a choreographed dance routine. At the end of the video, Mandhana subtly displays her engagement ring, confirming the news.

Palash Muchhal had previously hinted at the impending nuptials during an event in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, joking that Mandhana would soon become the "daughter-in-law of Indore".

Smriti Mandhana, born on July 18, 1996, in Mumbai, has become a prominent figure in international cricket. A left-handed opening batter, she made her international debut in 2013 and has since accumulated over 9,500 runs with 17 centuries across all formats. Palash Muchhal, born on May 22, 1995, is an Indian music composer, filmmaker, and singer. He made his Bollywood debut as a music composer in 2014 with the film Dishkiyaoon. He has contributed to films like Bhoothnath Returns and Amit Sahni Ki List. Muchhal has also directed a web series called 'Rickshaw' and a film titled 'Ardh'. He is the younger brother of Bollywood singer Palak Muchhal.
