Jets Secure Hard-Fought Victory Over Devils, Achieving Consecutive Wins in Thrilling Contest.

The Winnipeg Jets defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-3 on Sunday, January 11, 2026, securing their first back-to-back wins since mid-November. Tanner Pearson's go-ahead goal in the third period proved to be the game-winner. The victory also marked the first time the Jets have won a one-goal game since November 15, ending a 13-game losing streak in such contests.

The Jets' offense was led by Alex Iafallo, Jonathan Toews, and Gabriel Vilardi, who each contributed a goal. Cole Perfetti and Josh Morrissey both tallied two assists. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 24 saves for Winnipeg.

For the Devils, Winnipeg-born forward Cody Glass scored twice, and Nico Hischier added another goal. Luke and Jack Hughes each recorded two assists. Jake Allen stopped 18 shots in net for New Jersey. With the loss, the Devils have now lost four consecutive games for the first time since early December.

The game remained scoreless until the final two minutes of the first period when Iafallo scored at 18:50, only to be answered by Hischier 37 seconds later. The second period saw a flurry of goals. Glass put the Devils ahead at 1:05, but Toews quickly responded at 2:36. A goal by New Jersey's Jonas Siegenthaler was overturned due to goaltender interference. Glass then scored his second of the night at 8:08, before Vilardi tied the game again with just over two minutes left in the second. Pearson's decisive goal came at 6:17 of the third period, assisted by Morrissey.

The Jets improved their record to 17-22-5 with the win. Since the Christmas break, Toews has been on a hot streak, amassing two goals and four assists in his last nine games. Perfetti has also been a key contributor, with four assists in his past two games. The Jets started the final frame strong, holding an 8-1 shot advantage over New Jersey and not allowing their first shot of the period for close to 13 minutes.
