Eight-time Olympic gold medalist and world record holder Usain Bolt is set to visit India on October 1 to participate in an exhibition football match in Mumbai. This visit marks Bolt's second trip to India, with his first being in 2014.
The exhibition match is part of a two-day celebration hosted by PUMA, commencing on September 30. The event aims to unite communities through sports, particularly football, which is highly popular among Indian youth.
Bolt will represent both Mumbai City FC and Bengaluru FC, playing one half for each team. The match will also feature other football players, Bollywood celebrities, and other prominent personalities.
This isn't Bolt's first foray into football. He has actively pursued his passion for the sport since retiring from athletics in 2017, participating in training, trial matches, and charity games. He even scored a penalty in Soccer Aid while playing for the World XI.
The exhibition match will be a ticketed event, offering fans a unique experience that combines sports, entertainment, and community spirit. Ticket sales will be available soon.
