Brandin Podziemski, a guard for the Golden State Warriors, has found himself in the crosshairs of Indiana Fever fans after a courtside antic during the Fever's game against the Golden State Valkyries on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Podziemski, a self-proclaimed avid heckler, was in attendance at Chase Center, and his actions following a traveling call against Fever star Caitlin Clark ignited a firestorm of reactions online.

With the Valkyries defeating the Fever 88-77, Clark had a difficult night, scoring 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting, with 9 assists, 7 rebounds, and 6 turnovers. One of those turnovers came on a traveling call in the third quarter while Clark was setting up for a three-point shot. Seated just feet away from the play, Podziemski seized the moment, emphatically gesturing the travel signal while briefly following Clark down the court.

A video of Podziemski's actions quickly spread across social media, drawing strong reactions from fans. Some found humor in the situation, while many Clark supporters deemed his behavior disrespectful and unsportsmanlike. Comments ranged from "LMAOOOOOOO" to "Insufferable," with some fans directly calling out Podziemski, with one user writing, "Ramen Hair needs to sit down and actually be in the gym. Ain't came through for the warriors at all." Another fan added, "if any fan did this to him at a warrior game his soft a** would probably cry. show some respect and stay off the court." Conversely, some fans defended Podziemski, with one stating, "never slander my glorious king Brandin Podziemski name again."

Podziemski, in an interview with 95.7 The Game on X, admitted he went to the game with the intention of heckling Clark. "Oh yeah, of course," Podziemski said. "I'll always be doing that...I gotta find something. It's in the moment, whatever comes out, but I'll always be with the Valkyries."

The incident underscores the intense spotlight on Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever this WNBA season. Clark's arrival has brought unprecedented attention to the league, with sold-out arenas and heightened scrutiny of every game and play. While Podziemski's actions may be viewed as simple heckling by some, they have resonated with fans who are fiercely protective of Clark, particularly amid what they perceive as excessive physicality and criticism directed towards her.
