Juventus have officially secured the permanent signing of Francisco Conceicao from FC Porto, following his successful loan spell with the Bianconeri during the 2024-25 season. The 22-year-old Portuguese winger has inked a five-year contract that will keep him in Turin until the summer of 2030.
Conceicao initially joined Juventus in August 2024 on a season-long loan. His impressive performances quickly turned heads, leading Juventus to exercise their option to make the move permanent. The club has agreed to pay Porto €30.4 million, to be paid in four annual installments, along with €1.6 million in additional fees.
"Francisco Conceicao is officially a Juventus player on a permanent basis," Juventus announced on their website. "After spending the 2024/25 season on loan from FC Porto, the Portuguese winger has now signed a contract that ties him to the Bianconeri until 2030. The move comes just weeks after Conceicao's loan spell ended with Juventus' run at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America. Now, the 22-year-old will be staying with a permanent contract signed and sealed".
During his loan spell, Conceicao made a significant impact, featuring in 40 matches across all competitions. He showcased his versatility and attacking prowess by scoring seven goals and providing four assists. Two of his goals came during the Club World Cup against Al-Ain. His contributions were deemed valuable to the squad, cementing his place in the team.
Conceicao's journey to Juventus began with his youth career in Portugal. He represented his country at various youth levels and was a member of the under-21 team that finished as runners-up in the 2021 European Under-21 Championship. Before his move to Turin, Conceicao had spells with Ajax and a return to Porto.
Juventus, under the guidance of Igor Tudor, are actively strengthening their squad. In addition to Conceicao, they have also signed Canadian international Jonathan David from Lille. The club is also reportedly close to finalizing a transfer for Porto right-back Joao Mario, with Alberto Costa potentially moving in the opposite direction.
The acquisition of Francisco Conceicao is seen as a significant move for Juventus, securing a talented young winger for the long term. His contributions on the field and commitment to the team have already made him a valuable asset, and the club is eager to see him continue his development in the years to come.
