The Chicago Blackhawks have announced the election of Steve Larmer and Duncan Keith to the inaugural Blackhawks Hall of Fame class. The announcement, made Friday, September 5, 2025, coincides with single-game tickets going on sale.
Larmer was selected from the "Heritage" ballot, while Keith was chosen from the "Modern" ballot, following a vote by fans, alumni, and media. Blackhawks Chairman and CEO Danny Wirtz expressed immense pride in including Larmer and Keith in the inaugural class, emphasizing the lasting influence they've had on the franchise, as demonstrated by the incredible participation in the voting process.
In addition to Larmer and Keith, the inaugural class will include Glenn Hall (#1), Pierre Pilote and Keith Magnuson (#3), Chris Chelios (#7), Bobby Hull (#9), Denis Savard (#18), Stan Mikita (#21), Tony Esposito (#35), and Marian Hossa (#81) – all of whom have had their numbers retired by the organization, granting them automatic induction.
The inaugural Hall of Fame class will be formally honored on April 11 during a special Hall of Fame game against the St. Louis Blues. The game will feature a pregame ceremony and other activities to celebrate their contributions to the organization. The Blackhawks Hall of Fame will be a permanent fixture, with a dedicated physical space at the Fifth Third Arena. This space aims to connect generations and stand as a testament to those who have embodied the values and spirit of the Blackhawks.
Steve Larmer's Legacy
