The Utah Mammoth defeated the Minnesota Wild by a score of 6-2 at the Grand Casino Arena on Saturday, October 25, 2025, extending their winning streak to six games. The Mammoth jumped out to an early 3-0 lead within the first five minutes of the game.

Logan Cooley led the charge with two goals, scoring just 56 seconds into the first period by batting in a high pass from John Marino. Cooley then extended the lead on the power play at 3:29, slipping the puck past Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson. Nick Schmaltz further widened the gap with a wrist shot from just inside the blue line at 4:58. Schmaltz has extended his point streak to six games (seven goals, six assists).

Minnesota responded when Marcus Johansson scored with a snap shot at 15:39, bringing the score to 3-1. In the second period, Johansson scored again on the power play at 15:43, assisted by Vinnie Hinostroza, narrowing the deficit to 3-2.

In the third period, JJ Peterka increased Utah's lead to 4-2 at 13:37, receiving a pass from Cooley. Schmaltz then scored on a breakaway at 15:13, making it 5-2. John Marino sealed the victory with an empty-net goal at 19:54.

Karel Vejmelka made 32 saves for Utah, while Gustavsson made 35 saves for Minnesota.

With this win, the Utah Mammoth are now 7-2-0. The Minnesota Wild have lost five of their last six games and are now 3-5-1.
