The St. Louis Blues have navigated a week of mixed results, showcasing both promising individual performances and areas needing improvement. Despite the team's 1-1-1 record over the past week, several players stood out for their contributions. Here’s a closer look at the Blues' top performers of the week:
Jordan Binnington
Jordan Binnington has been a central figure for the Blues, and this week was no exception. On November 11, 2025, Binnington made history by playing his 348th game with the St. Louis Blues, surpassing Mike Liut's franchise record for a goalie. In a 3-2 victory against the Calgary Flames, Binnington stopped 38 of 40 shots, recording a .950 save percentage. Aside from allowing two goals in the second period, Binnington played an outstanding game. "I feel like they were throwing a lot at the net," Binnington said. "As a goalie, sometimes you like that just to feel the puck and stay in the game". This performance was a significant step forward, as he had previously allowed three or more goals in six of his twelve appearances this season. In 2024, Binnington also became the franchise's all-time leader in wins, with 152 victories.
Binnington's journey with the Blues has been marked by significant achievements, including leading the team to its first Stanley Cup victory in 2019. That year, he had a .927 save percentage and a 1.89 goals-against average in 32 games during the regular season. He also started all 26 postseason games. His competitiveness has become integral to the Blues' identity.
Jimmy Snuggerud
Jimmy Snuggerud, the 21-year-old rookie, continued to make his presence felt. Although he missed a shootout attempt on Friday, Snuggerud displayed offensive prowess throughout the week. Through 19 games this season, Snuggerud has five goals and six assists for 11 points. On November 7, 2025, Snuggerud scored the Blues' second goal, assisted by Robert Thomas. In return, Snuggerud assisted Thomas' goal in the third period. On November 9, 2025, Snuggerud assisted on Philip Broberg's goal against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Snuggerud's transition to the NHL has been highly anticipated since being drafted in the first round (No. 23) in 2022. Currently, he is averaging 15:25 of ice time, playing alongside Dalibor Dvorsky and Alexey Toropchenko. Snuggerud is tied for sixth among rookies with eight points and tied for fourth with four power-play points. Before joining the Blues, Snuggerud played college hockey at the University of Minnesota, where he scored 119 goals in 119 games.
Hunter Skinner
Hunter Skinner, a young defenseman, made his NHL debut on November 7, 2025. Although he only played 10:45 in his debut, Skinner recorded four hits and a blocked shot. Despite it being a positive debut, Skinner was replaced by Tyler Tucker in the following game on November 8, 2025.
These three players represent a mix of veteran leadership and emerging talent within the St. Louis Blues organization. As the season progresses, their continued performance will be crucial to the team's success.
