Arseny Gritsyuk is out for at least the next two games, according to Devils coach Sheldon Keefe. Timo Meier is also out, taking a personal leave of absence to tend to a family health matter. The Devils are struggling, having lost six of their last seven games. During this stretch, they've averaged just 2.1 goals per game while conceding 4.4.

In their previous encounter this season, the Ducks defeated the Devils 4-1 on November 2. Beckett Sennecke had a goal and an assist in that game.
