India vs West Indies 2nd Test Day 3 Live: Kuldeep, Jadeja Aim to Break West Indies' Middle Order Resistance.

Delhi, October 11, 2025 – The West Indies middle order displayed resilience on Day 3 of the second Test against India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, attempting to counter the persistent spin threat posed by Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. At stumps, the West Indies stood at 229 for 5, trailing India by 209 runs.

India's dominance in the match was established on the back of Shubman Gill's impressive century. Gill's unbeaten 129 led India to declare their first innings at 518/5. Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed a substantial 175 before being run out, while Sai Sudharsan added 87. Nitish Kumar Reddy also chipped in with a useful 43.

West Indies' response began shakily, with Ravindra Jadeja quickly making inroads into their top order. Jadeja dismissed John Campbell, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, and Roston Chase. Kuldeep Yadav accounted for Alick Athanaze. At the end of Day 3, the West Indies were 140-4, trailing India by 378 runs. Shai Hope remained at the crease, trying to hold the innings together.

Jadeja ended the day with three wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav took one. The West Indies middle order showed some resistance, but India's spinners maintained control. Play was testing for the Indian bowlers.

Earlier, India's innings featured a strong batting performance, with Shubman Gill leading from the front. Gill's innings included 16 fours and two sixes. He reached his century with a three runs off Khary Pierre's bowling. A 102-run partnership developed between Gill and Dhruv Jurel, who scored 44. Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for 175 early on the second day after adding just two runs to his overnight score.

The West Indies bowlers struggled to contain the Indian batsmen, with Jomel Warrican being the most successful, taking three wickets. However, he proved expensive, as did the other West Indies bowlers.

As Day 3 concluded, India aimed to secure early breakthroughs on Day 4 to tighten their grip on the match. West Indies, on the other hand, needed a significant partnership to reduce the deficit and put pressure back on the Indian team.
