The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust (THST) has voiced concerns that the rising cost of tickets is negatively impacting the atmosphere at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The trust suggests that "unaffordable" ticket prices are a key factor in the dwindling matchday atmosphere, potentially pricing out loyal fans and changing the demographic of attendees.

THST has been actively campaigning against rising ticket costs, acknowledging the financial pressures faced by supporters. In March 2024, the trust expressed its dismay at the club's decision to increase season ticket prices by 6% for the 2024-25 season, despite a previous freeze. Tottenham Hotspur justified the increase by citing rising matchday costs, including utilities and consumables. However, THST argued that these justifications were insufficient.

The Supporters’ Trust has praised "sensible" prices from last season's Europa League and has asked the club to make ticketing fair. THST has also been critical of changes to senior concession tickets, which they say will ultimately lead to a 25% increase in cost for senior season tickets from the 2029-30 season. The trust believes these changes undermine the loyalty of long-standing supporters.

In the past, THST has acknowledged instances where the club has responded positively to their concerns, such as the decision to freeze season ticket prices for the 2023/24 season amidst a cost-of-living crisis. While Tottenham Hotspur had consulted with THST before making that decision, the trust has also stated that they have been informed, rather than consulted, regarding match day pricing, which must change if supporter input is genuinely desired.

THST remains committed to lobbying the club for fair ticket pricing, advocating for the removal of booking fees, and seeking ways to reward loyal fans while encouraging a new generation of season ticket holders. They emphasize that football must be accessible to retain its integrity as the "people's game," warning that escalating costs could permanently alter the match-attending demographic and diminish the passion and atmosphere within the stadium. They are planning to look closer at the breakdown of increases across all price points and will then calculate the additional income this will generate for the Club.
