Thomas Frank is confident that he can replicate the success he achieved at Brentford and Brøndby at his new club, Tottenham Hotspur. Despite a rocky start to his tenure, Frank draws upon his past experiences to inspire confidence in his ability to turn things around.

Frank, who took over in June after Ange Postecoglou's departure, faces a significant challenge at Spurs. While Postecoglou secured Europa League glory, the team's inconsistent performance in the Premier League, which saw them finish in 17th place, led to his dismissal. Tasked with returning Tottenham to the top-four and making them Champions League contenders, Frank is aware of the magnitude of the task.

However, Frank remains unfazed, recalling his initial struggles at Brøndby and Brentford. "At Brøndby, I didn't win the first eight games and then we were unbeaten in nine," he stated. "At Brentford, we lost eight out of 10 games and then we were unbeaten in 10," he added, highlighting his ability to navigate difficult periods and build competitive teams.

The new Tottenham manager acknowledges the concerns surrounding the team's capacity to handle the demands of Champions League football. Questions have been raised about the squad's depth and resilience, particularly after a 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest following a European midweek game. Despite these worries, Frank is determined to instill a winning mentality and create a team that can consistently deliver results.

Since his arrival, Frank has been described as meticulous, with Richarlison, the Tottenham forward, expressing his admiration for the manager's attention to detail. Richarlison, who endured an injury-hit 2024/25 season, has welcomed Frank's support and tactical approach. "There's been a lot of meetings (under Frank) – but I like that – meetings every day," Richarlison said. "I'm improving the tactical part and I'm training well to improve – hopefully that comes in handy for our defenders," he added.

Tottenham's management is backing Frank to implement his vision, entrusting him with a cultural reconstruction of the team. Despite inconsistent early-season form, the club recognizes Frank's track record of building successful teams over time.

Frank's first Premier League game is three days after the UEFA Super Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain. In the Premier League opener, Tottenham will face Burnley.
