Delhi, India – Lionel Messi's highly anticipated G.O.A.T India Tour concluded today with the Argentine superstar departing from the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The final leg of the tour, which spanned across four cities, saw Messi engage with fans and dignitaries in the nation's capital.

Messi's arrival in Delhi was initially delayed due to adverse weather conditions, with heavy fog disrupting his charter flight from Mumbai. Originally scheduled to land in the morning, he eventually arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport around 2:30 PM. He then proceeded to the Leela Palace Hotel for a private meet-and-greet session with select guests.

Later in the afternoon, Messi arrived at the Arun Jaitley Stadium amidst heightened security and fervent fan excitement. The stadium event included a football clinic where Messi interacted with young footballers from the Minerva Academy. An exhibition match was also organized.

During his brief stay in Delhi, Messi reportedly met with the Chief Justice of India and several parliamentarians. Earlier in the day, reports suggested a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was planned but did not materialize.

The G.O.A.T India Tour began in Kolkata, followed by engagements in Hyderabad and Mumbai. In Mumbai, Messi met with cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, Indian football legend Sunil Chhetri, and various celebrities. He also received a cricket bat and a Team India jersey from Jay Shah.

The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory in anticipation of Messi's arrival, regulating traffic movement around the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The event took place between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, with traffic restrictions in effect from noon.

The tour has not been without its critics. Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra questioned India's sporting priorities, pointing out the contrast between the resources spent on the tour and the underfunding of grassroots sports.

Messi's departure from the Arun Jaitley Stadium marks the end of his G.O.A.T India Tour. He is expected to return to Miami, his current base, following the conclusion of his engagements in Delhi.
