Aston Villa's impressive winning streak continues with another stunning victory against Chelsea away from home.

Aston Villa continued their remarkable run of form with a stunning 2-1 comeback victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. This win marks their 11th consecutive victory in all competitions, equalling a club record that dates back to 1897 and 1914. The victory propels Aston Villa to third in the Premier League standings, just three points behind leaders Arsenal.

Chelsea dominated the first half, controlling possession and creating several chances. Their efforts paid off in the 37th minute when a Reece James corner deflected off Joao Pedro and into the net, giving the Blues a 1-0 lead. Despite Chelsea's dominance, they failed to capitalize on numerous opportunities to extend their lead. Key saves from Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez also kept Chelsea at bay.

The turning point of the match came with a tactical masterstroke from Aston Villa manager Unai Emery. Shortly before the hour mark, Emery made a triple substitution, bringing on Ollie Watkins, Jadon Sancho, and Amadou Onana. The introduction of Watkins proved to be decisive. In the 63rd minute, just four minutes after coming on, Watkins capitalized on a rebound off Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to equalize.

Watkins wasn't finished there. In the 84th minute, he rose highest to head home a Youri Tielemans corner, securing a dramatic 2-1 victory for Aston Villa. Watkins praised Emery's tactical switch, noting that it exploited Chelsea's man-to-man defense.

The win represents Aston Villa's 11th successive win in all competitions. Meanwhile, Chelsea's recent form has been inconsistent, with only one win in their last six league games. They currently sit fifth in the Premier League, ten points behind Aston Villa.

Aston Villa's next challenge is a significant one, as they face league leaders Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. Chelsea will host Bournemouth on the same day.
