On January 17, 2026, Seattle Kraken forward Frederick Gaudreau reached a significant milestone in his NHL career, recording his 100th assist. The achievement came during the Kraken's game against the Utah Mammoth.

Gaudreau, who signed a five-year, $10.5 million contract with the Wild on April 13, 2023, was later traded to the Seattle Kraken on June 26, 2025, in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick.

The undrafted Gaudreau has played nine seasons in the NHL for four teams, including the Nashville Predators, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Minnesota Wild, in addition to the Kraken. Through 443 career games, the 32-year-old center has accumulated 65 goals and 99 assists.

Before reaching the NHL, Gaudreau played three seasons with Shawinigan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), winning the Memorial Cup in 2012. In 2013-14, he was traded to Drummondville and named the QMJHL's most sportsmanlike player. After going undrafted, he signed with the American Hockey League's (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals.

Gaudreau made his NHL debut on October 22, 2016, with the Nashville Predators. He scored his first three NHL goals in the 2017 Stanley Cup Final against the Pittsburgh Penguins, becoming the first player since 1944 to achieve this feat in the Stanley Cup Final.

In the current 2025-26 season, Gaudreau has appeared in 32 games for the Kraken, recording 4 goals and 8 assists. His average time on ice is 16 minutes and 18 seconds, including 22 seconds on the power play and 1 minute and 52 seconds shorthanded.

Gaudreau's achievement has been recognized across the hockey world, with fans and analysts praising his consistent effort and versatility. He continues to be a valuable asset to the Seattle Kraken, contributing both offensively and defensively.
