Pakistan U-19 Team Celebrates Asia Cup Win Against India with Generous Reward from Prime Minister.

Following their resounding victory against India in the U-19 Asia Cup final, the Pakistan U-19 cricket team has been awarded a significant cash reward by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Prime Minister hosted a special reception in Islamabad for the young champions and announced a reward of PKR 10 million (approximately $1 million) for each player.

The team secured their Asia Cup title by defeating India by a convincing margin of 191 runs in Dubai. Pakistan batted first and scored 347/8, with Sameer Minhas scoring a remarkable 172 runs. In response, the Indian team was bowled out for just 156. Minhas was named both 'Player of the Match' and 'Player of the Series'.

The Prime Minister praised the team's outstanding performance, passion, and commitment, stating that their success has made the entire nation proud. He further expressed his hope that the team will continue their winning streak and bring the U-19 World Cup to Pakistan. He commended Captain Farhan Yousaf, Sameer Minhas, Ali Raza, and the team management for their contributions.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the team's performance and announced a separate cash prize of PKR 5 million for each player. Naqvi praised the team's discipline, fearlessness, and commitment and considered the victory a proud moment for the future of Pakistan cricket.

Head Coach Shahid Anwar revealed that the team had been preparing for the tournament for the past six months, with trials starting in June to select the best players. Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, who served as the team's mentor and manager, also confirmed the Prime Minister's announcement and lauded the team's efforts.
