Sarina Wiegman of England Crowned FIFA Women's Coach of the Year: A Prestigious Achievement Celebrated.

Sarina Wiegman, the head coach of England's Lionesses, has been named the Best FIFA Women's Coach of the Year at The Best FIFA Football Awards. The 56-year-old manager received the award at a ceremony held in Doha, after leading the Lionesses to victory at Euro 2025. This is Wiegman's record-extending fifth time receiving the honor.

Wiegman was not present at the ceremony but expressed her gratitude in a pre-recorded video. She thanked FIFA and everyone who voted for her and congratulated the other nominees: Chelsea's Sonia Bompastor, Arsenal's Renee Slegers, Seb Hines of Orlando Pride, and Lyon's Jonatan Giraldez. Wiegman also thanked the Football Association (FA) for their continued support.

"Thank you so much, it is an absolute honour to receive this award again," Wiegman stated. She emphasized that the award was for the players and staff, acknowledging their conviction, belief, and togetherness, which led to their second Euros win. Looking ahead to 2026, Wiegman called for continued efforts to push the women's game forward and create an environment where every player can reach their full potential.

England's success at the Euros was further recognized with Hannah Hampton being named The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper. Hampton, who also contributed to Chelsea's domestic treble win, thanked Wiegman and Chelsea's manager, Sonia Bompastor, for their belief in her throughout the year. She acknowledged the achievements made with both club and country and expressed her ambition for further success.

In addition to Hampton, Lucy Bronze, Leah Williamson, and Alessia Russo were also named in the FIFPRO Women's World 11.
